Feature Submission Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions:

Must be 18 years or older to submit. By agreeing to these terms I certify that I, the submitter, am 18 years or older.

You may not submit content that: 

Contains misleading or false information

Contains illegal, pornographic, or defamatory content

Constitutes any libel, slander, or other defamation upon any person or entity

Content that does not comply with applicable laws or regulations

Hateful and Offensive Content Guidelines

Hateful content

We do not allow submissions of hateful content, which is content that promotes insensitivity or intolerance against an individual or group, based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation, among others.

Minors

For submissions depicting children, the content must be age-appropriate, non-sexualized and non-exploitative.  Content featuring children will be reviewed under strict guidelines and content that is determined to be sexualized, exploitative, or abusive will be removed. 

Nudity

No nudity of any type. Never submit any sexually explicit, pornographic, or immoral material, including material that sexualizes minors.

Self-harm

Do not submit content that depicts the infliction of pain or damage to one’s own body, which may deliberately result in injury to oneself. 


Photo and Video Fair Use License Agreement

This license agreement ("Agreement") is made between you (and your Organization if applicable) ("Licensor") and Donovan Pottery ("Licensee") for the use of photographs and videos ("Content") owned or provided by the Licensor.

1. Grant of License: Licensor grants Licensee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, adapt, reproduce, and distribute the Content, in any medium, for the following purposes:

  • Personal Use: Licensee may use the Content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
  • Educational Use: Licensee may use the Content for educational purposes, including presentations, research, and classroom use.
  • Non-commercial Use: Licensee may use the Content for non-commercial purposes, including blogs, social media, and non-profit publications.
  • Commercial Use: Licensee may not use the Content for commercial purposes, including advertising, marketing, or promotional materials.

2. Prohibited Uses: Licensee may not use the Content for the following purposes

  • Endorsement: Licensee may not use the Content in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation with the Licensor.
  • Derogatory Use: Licensee may not use the Content in a way that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.

3. Attribution: Licensee must provide appropriate attribution to the Licensor when using the Content. Attribution should include the following:

  • For photographs: "Photo by [Photographer's Name] / [Licensor's Name]"
  • For videos: "Video by [Videographer's Name] / [Licensor's Name]"
  • Attribution should be prominently displayed whenever the Content is used.

4. No Warranty: The Content is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. Licensor makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the Content.

5. Indemnification: Licensee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Licensor from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of or related to Licensee's use of the Content in violation of this Agreement.

6. Termination: This Agreement is effective until terminated. Licensor reserves the right to terminate this Agreement at any time if Licensee breaches any provision of this Agreement. Upon termination, Licensee must cease all use of the Content.

7. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Carolina. Any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of South Carolina.

8. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.

By using the Content, Licensee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
